

What I refer to as 3d origami is more frequently called Modular origami. Each model or ornament is constructed from multiple unit that is joined together by folding or sewing to create the finished piece. Modular origami can be very repetitive as the model may only be made up 1 or 2 different units and require dozes of individual pieces.

I made the double sided paper for this origami model by using two different foil wrapping papers. It consists of 40 individual units. The model is assembled by sewing the all units together with string.
